Church-in-Conference and Worship Workshop
Wednesday May 7 6:30-8:00 PM
Your voice matters in the way we worship together. Please attend this dinner and workshop and participate in sharing worship experiences and preferences along with brainstorming ways we can all improve worship at VHC. We will review our brainstorming session from last month on: 1. What has been your most meaningful worship experience in your life? 2. What is the purpose for worship?  Please consider the following questions in preparation for the workshop: 3. How can we better fulfill this purpose in our worship at Virginia-Highland Church? 4. What are you willing to do to make that happen?  This will be a covered-dish supper. A church-in-conference meeting to will be held from 6:30-7:00 before we begin the worship workshop. Choir practice will begin immediately after the workshop at 8 PM.

Garden Party

Friday May 9 5:00-8:00 PM  In front of the Virginia-Highland Church
Come enjoy our new garden and each other’s company. Wine and Cheese and light refreshments will be served. Please feel free to bring donations of plants and funds for our landscaping efforts.

Coffee and Questions meeting on Third Tuesdays this summer

Join us as we Share a Table, Learn Together, and most of all, Have Fun! We will meet to discuss our questions and quandaries about Christianity at 7:00 PM on Third Tuesdays, throughout May, June, and July. We are also planning some fun field trips which will be announced in by email, the Luminary, and in the church bulletin, so watch for those opportunities. We meet at Java Vino, which is on Highland Ave., south of Ponce just past Manuel’s Tavern on the left, and serves coffee, tea, wine, and a full menu of sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and desserts.
